Circle of Life
Trees shed their yellowed leaves
To get some new
While most fall apart
Some leaves stick through
In hopes of getting past the fall
Stay United and face it all
But the strong winds waver their zeal
So their fate gets sealed
They cave in and fall with the breeze
Dropping to the ground
Meeting the other fallen leaves
Only to discover they have lost
Their color and glow
Sitting lifeless and letting go
Little shards of life left in them
Their courage finally caving in
Wishing they had stayed forever green
And their fate today might have not been
They look up the tree and wonder
How wonderful it would be ; if we could remain together
But one had to fall to give other a new start
That’s the rule of life; some call it an art
The branches now can start anew
Hoping new leaves will always cling through….
